The journal “Radio Physics and Radio Astronomy” publishes articles, brief communications, letters to the editor, and comments on the topical problems of radio physics, electronics, and radioastronomy containing the original results of fundamental and applied researches, the description of investigation methods, the equipment and its practical usage. The journal also publishes invited papers on the most timely problems within its scope, current information – chronicle, personalia, paid commercial announcements.
All papers submitted to the journal “Radio Physics and Radio Astronomy” are reviewed.
Prospective paper must be written with the highest possible clarity and rigorousness. Submitted manuscript should reflect author’s appreciation of preceding works, the aim of investigation is to be stated, original part and conclusions must be contained which would demonstrate the core of the obtained results and their novelty. Desirable to avoid unfounded new terms and physical slang.
The editors of the Journal kindly ask the contributors to observe the following rules while writing their manuscripts to be submitted:
Contributor should submit two copies of the complete manuscript (including figures) to Professor L. M. Lytvynenko, Institute of Radio Astronomy, NAS-Ukraine, 4, Chervonopraporna St., Kharkiv, 61002, Ukraine. Electronic version of the manuscript can be sent via e-mail: journal@ri.kharkov.ua. The hard copies and electron version should be prepared according to the rules listed below.
Only original papers are accepted, and copyright in published papers is transferred to the journal.
The language of the journal is English.
The complete manuscript must contain:
Manuscripts should be typed double-spaced on one side only on standard A4 (8.27x11.69-inch) paper with 1-inch (2.5-cm) margins. An abstract of no more than 50 words should be included. Up to five key terms are to be supplied. The maximum length of each article is 5 printed pages. Each printed page is equivalent to 4 double-spaced manuscript pages or 4 figures. The references should be numbered consequtively in the order of appearance and should be compiled on a separate sheet at the end of the manuscript. The references should correspond to the IEEE publication style, e. g.:

Please supply numbers and titles for all tables.
Authors are cautioned to type wherever possible all mathematical symbols. If these are handwritten, please write them only in black ink clearly and leave ample space above and below for printer’s mark. Please distinguish between capital and small letters having a similar appearance (e. g., K and k, O and o) by a double bar drown over or under the letter, respectively. Please be attentive in all cases wherever any confusion may arise (e. g., l and i, I, J, and 1, and a). Greek letters should be underlined in red, and vectors in blue. Cumbersome mathematical calculations and intrinsic notations (diacriticals such as tilde, caret, or asterisk) should be restricted to cases of absolute necessity. Special symbols, notations and abbreviations must be explained the first time they are used.
The figures must be drawn to fit within one or two columns of text. The width of a figure intended for a single column must not exceed 7.5 cm, and the total height of a figure (e .g., Figs. 1a, b, c) must not exceed 20 cm.
The width of a figure to be placed in two columns should be no more than 15 cm (supposed for reproducing in the scale 1:1). Because the figures may be scaled under scanning, they must be executed with the utmost thoroughness, having in mind that the lettering and other details may become illegible or unclear after reduction. Text and symbols in the figures must be kept to a minimum. The use of multiplication signs on the coordinate axes is to be avoided. Each illustration must be sharp and drawn at high density on bright white paper, on glossy paper or on drawing film. Photographs must exhibit good contrast. Laser-printed illustrations are acceptable too.
All illustrations must be numbered consecutively and referred to in a text. Each figure should be identified on the inverse side by its number and the name of the principle author. Show the top of illustration. Colour figures or insets can be accepted provided the authors are prepared to meet the reproduction costs.
Simultaneously with hard copies, the electron version of the paper must be submitted on 3 ” high-density disk or via e-mail. The electron version must be identical to the hard copy. The text of article should be written in Microsoft Word no higher than 2003 format with complete type-setting all formulas and symbols.
Graphical matter can be represented in the following file name extensions: PCX, TIF, and CDR.
In case of e-mail submission, the files must be compressed by one of any standard compression programs (zip, arj, rar) to reduce size and sent as MIME or UUEncoded attachments. The size of each e-mail message must be reasonably small (about 1 to 3 megabyte) because larger sizes may sometimes be bounced back. If still necessary to send larger size paper, it may be split into parts and sent as several messages. (When calculating the size of your message, please, take into account that the MIME or UUEncoding increases the size of the file.)
Label all disks with your name, the file name, and the word processing program and version used.
The paper text with the generally accepted structure: introduction, methods and results of research, discussion of results, conclusions, references. Figures, figure captions, tables, abstract (in English) - all on separate sheets.
The editors reserve to themselves the right to reject the papers with unsatisfactory quality of the contributed material.
